Privacy policy
Feral Watt LLC ("Feral Watt") is an independent electricity broker. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you use feralwatt.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@feralwatt.com.
What we collect
- Form details. Your name, business name, business type, phone, email, service city and ZIP, any notes you add, how you'd like to get your quote, and whether you opted in to texts.
- Your electric bill. The PDF or photo you upload. Bills usually show your service address, account and meter details (such as your ESI ID), usage history and current rate.
- Your authorization (Letter of Authorization, or LOA). The permission you give in our quote form by typing your name, which lets us request your usage history so the quote matches how your business uses power. With it we record the signer's name and title, the service and billing address, any ESI ID or utility account number you enter, the date and time, the IP address and browser used to submit, and the exact consent wording you agreed to.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log things such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To prepare your personalized quote, call you with it at the time you picked, and email you a copy during the call.
- To shop your account with retail electricity providers and, if you choose a plan, to enroll you. We share only what's needed to price or set up your service.
- To follow up about your quote, your contract and your renewal date.
- To keep records required for our business and to meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information.
Your bill and documents
Bills and completed authorizations (LOAs) are stored with the service providers that run our website, forms, file storage and customer records. Access is limited to Feral Watt. We keep them while we're working on your account and for as long as we need them for recordkeeping. If you'd like your bill or other documents deleted, email us and we'll take care of it unless we're required to keep them.
Text messages (SMS)
Texting is optional. If you check the text-message box on our form, you agree to receive text messages from Feral Watt LLC about your quote request and account: quote confirmations and quote-ready notices, reminders before your quote expires, follow-ups on your request and, if you become a customer, enrollment, contract and renewal reminders. Consent is not a condition of service or purchase. You'll still get your quote call and emailed copy without opting in.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes; text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
- No sharing for marketing. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
- Service providers only. Your number may be processed by the text messaging provider that delivers our messages, only to send them.
- Your record. When you opt in, we record that you did and when, so we can honor your choice.
SMS terms (summary)
- Program: Texts from Feral Watt LLC about your quote and call scheduling.
- What you'll get: Quote texts (confirmation, quote ready, reminders before it expires), follow-ups about your request and, if you become a customer, updates about your authorization (LOA), enrollment and contract, including start-date and renewal reminders.
- How often: Message frequency varies with your request, usually 1 to 5 texts per quote request.
- Cost: Msg & data rates may apply.
- Opt out: Reply STOP at any time to stop texts. You'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed.
- Rejoin: Reply START to resubscribe after opting out.
- Help: Reply HELP for help, call (346) 694-5454, or email hello@feralwatt.com.
- Consent: Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

If you send us a bill, we'll email you about your quote. Any newsletter or marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Website analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and links people use, including taps on our phone number. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. We use this only to understand how the site is used. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not send it the details you enter in our quote form or the bill you upload. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@feralwatt.com and we'll respond as soon as we can.
Security
We use reputable providers and limit who can see your information. No system is perfect, so please don't include anything beyond what we ask for in your notes.
Children
This site isn't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
